Observations – Observaciones

 I visit a corner cafΓ©.
From my table I observe
that Malaysia is a world
with experiences
             worth gold.

  -I order coffee and bread-

The Muslim girl in a
               photo shoot
under the sun in her hijab
must be sweat-resistant,
               her makeup
is intact as she smiles.

On the table to my right
a Russian woman chats and
her friend listens
               with a sigh,
both giggle and laugh.

The lost-looking
           western tourists
pass by the open door
traversing Asian streets
             without winters
on backpacking mode.

  -My order is brought-

I soak my bread in coffee
in coffee
        I bathe my bread
I dip my lips in foam
in foam my lips
          taste leisure.

I savor my morning freedom
as it slowly slips
             into mid-day.
My cup is now empty,
but by now I have
            writing themes.

I take myself home
to write what I have seen.
